Crochet Hooded Scarf Pattern

20171207_164514.jpg

At the simplest, making a hooded scarf consists of three steps. Making two rectangles, folding them in half, and sewing them together. The one pictured I added a liner by doing two hoodies, one smaller than the other to give it a bit more warmth for an Alaskan winter.

If you want this w/o the liner, a single skein of Homespun Thick and Quick is all that you need along with a 11.5mm hook. The liner was made with one skein of Bernat Pipsqueak and 8mm hook.

Stitch

Any stitch works for this pattern. Because I was using bulky yarn where the stitch was hard to see, I did a double crochet stitch for all of the rectangles, working underneath each stitch in the big hole between the DC’s.
